The Borgo di Babbo Natale transforms the medieval Ricetto di Candelo into a festive Christmas village filled with lights, decorations, artisan stalls and family activities. The historic streets and courtyards host Christmas markets with handcrafted products, local specialties and gift ideas, while music, performances and seasonal entertainment create a warm holiday atmosphere.

Families with children can visit the House of Santa Claus, take part in Christmas workshops and enjoy activities designed especially for younger visitors. The programme also includes cultural initiatives and opportunities to discover the Ricetto itself, one of Piedmont’s best-preserved medieval fortified villages, through guided visits and themed experiences.

In 2026, the event will take place on 21–22 and 28–29 November, and on 5–8 and 12–13 December. The Christmas Village is organised by Pro Loco di Candelo and takes place mainly inside the Ricetto and around Piazza Castello.

The 2026 edition has also received the UNPLI “Evento di Qualità” recognition, highlighting the cultural value and quality of the event.

Advance booking is recommended, especially for weekends and the Immaculate Conception holiday period. Tickets are offered for specific morning and afternoon time slots, with a limited number of flexible-entry tickets available online. Children up to and including 12 years of age are admitted free of charge.
