The carnival officially opens with the appearance of Re Stagalo and Regina Sirena, accompanied by their court, marking the beginning of the festivities.

A distinctive element of the programme is the tradition of the Vell, evening gatherings held in local bars and social venues, together with comic and theatrical performances such as Quatar ghignadi par Carnuàal. The programme also includes the Carnevale dei ragazzi, the traditional children’s parade organised by the local oratory
