The Traversata a Nuoto del Lago di Mergozzo is an annual open-water swimming event held in the clear waters of Lake Mergozzo, near the historic village of Mergozzo. The 2026 edition is scheduled for 19 July 2026 and includes two race distances — approximately 2.5 km and 5.3 km — starting from Piazza Cavour.

Swimmers follow a marked course across the lake while enjoying views of the surrounding mountains and lakeside landscapes. Safety assistance with boats, kayaks and support staff is provided along the route. Organised by local sports associations as the Trofeo Luca Dresti, the event has become a regular summer appointment for open-water swimming enthusiasts and outdoor sports visitors in the Lake Maggiore area.
